Project updates

Publish updates to the client portal.

The Client Updates card on a project lets you set a next milestone and publish short progress notes. Both appear on that client portal as soon as you save them.

Updated May 2026

01

Set the next milestone

Each project has one optional next milestone field. It shows on the portal as an Up next line.

  1. Open a project and find the Client Updates card.
  2. Enter a short milestone, for example final mockups by Apr 30.
  3. Click Save milestone to publish it to the portal.
  4. Clear the field and save again to remove the line.

02

Publish an update

The update box posts a timestamped progress note. Updates are visible to the client immediately after publishing.

  1. Type a progress note in the update box, up to 500 characters.
  2. Click Publish to portal to make it visible to the client.
  3. Review published updates in the list below the box.
  4. Use the delete control on an update to retract it from the portal.

03

Editorial control

Updates are agency-published only. Nothing is generated automatically, and the portal stays silent when there is nothing to show.

  1. Publish updates only when you want the client to see them.
  2. Leave the milestone and update fields blank to show nothing on the portal.
  3. Delete an update if it was published in error.

Notes

If no milestone is set and no updates are published, the matching portal sections render nothing at all rather than an empty placeholder.
