Tasks

Run the task board.

Tasks live inside a project and appear on its four-column board. Each task has a title, a column status, an optional due date, and an optional assignee name.

Add a task

Tasks are created from inside a project. Open a project, then use Add Task to place work on the board.

  1. Open a project and click Add Task.
  2. Enter a task title, which is required.
  3. Choose the starting column: To Do, In Progress, In Review, or Done.
  4. Add a due date and an assignee name if you want them, then click Create Task.

Move and update tasks

The board has four columns. You can move a task by dragging its card or change any field through the edit dialog.

  1. Drag a task card to another column to change its status.
  2. Use the card menu and choose Edit Task to change the title, status, due date, or assignee.
  3. Use the card menu and choose Delete Task to remove it.
  4. On the dashboard agenda, use Mark Done to move an active task straight to Done.

Tasks on the dashboard

Active tasks in To Do or In Progress feed the Today Focus agenda so open work surfaces alongside invoices and proposals.

  1. Check the dashboard agenda for tasks that need attention.
  2. Open a task from the agenda to jump to its project.
  3. Set due dates so tasks rank higher in the agenda as the date approaches.

Notes

Assignee is a free-text name field, not a linked team member account, so it does not grant any access to the workspace.
