Analytics

Read your business intelligence.

The Analytics tab turns your invoice and expense data into a financial overview — gross revenue, profit, margin, growth, and forecasts. It is a Pro feature.

Open Analytics

Analytics appears in the sidebar for Pro workspaces. Free and Plus workspaces see a preview with sample data and an upgrade prompt.

  1. Open the Analytics tab from the sidebar.
  2. On Free or Plus, review the sample preview to see what you would get.
  3. Upgrade to Pro to unlock live data from your own invoices and expenses.

02

Understand the KPIs

Four tiles summarize the trailing 30 days of business performance.

  1. Gross Collected is total paid revenue across your invoices.
  2. Total Expenses is everything logged in Time and Expenses.
  3. Net Profit is Gross Collected minus Total Expenses.
  4. Profit Margin is Net Profit as a percentage of Gross Collected.
  5. Gross Collected shows month-over-month growth compared with the previous 30 days.

03

Trend analysis

The profitability chart plots collected revenue against expenses for the last six months.

  1. Read the revenue series to see monthly collections.
  2. Compare the expense series to see monthly spend.
  3. Hover the chart to read exact monthly values.

04

Growth outlook

The forecast card projects the next three months from recent revenue and your active recurring invoices.

  1. Review the 3-month cash flow forecast.
  2. Read the performance status based on your month-over-month growth.
  3. Use the client contribution chart to see your top five clients by revenue.
  4. Check expense allocations to see where spending is concentrated.

Notes

All analytics figures are computed from invoices and expenses — nothing is entered manually. Analytics is included with Pro.
