Workspace setup

Create your first client workspace.

Set the business details, branding, currency, and access controls that ClientDeck uses across clients, invoices, portals, and reports.

Updated May 2026

01

Before you add client work

Start in Settings. The business profile and branding choices become the default presentation layer for invoices, proposals, reports, and client portals.

  1. Open Settings and review the business profile.
  2. Add the business name and preferred workspace currency.
  3. Upload a logo if you want it shown on client-facing surfaces.
  4. Choose a brand color for buttons, highlights, portal accents, and generated documents.

02

Configure the client-facing portal

ClientDeck supports a branded portal cover so the workspace feels intentional when clients open shared links.

  1. Choose a portal cover preset such as Soft Mesh, Watercolor, Soft Circles, Sunrise Fade, or Dot Grid.
  2. Upload a custom cover image if the workspace needs a more specific client-facing look.
  3. Use the None option when you want the portal hero to stay minimal.

03

Invite your team carefully

Team members can be invited from Settings with roles that control how much of the workspace they can change.

  1. Use Admin for people who should manage most workspace operations.
  2. Use Editor for collaborators who update client work but should not own every setting.
  3. Use Viewer for people who need visibility without editing access.

Notes

Workspace settings affect downstream client-facing documents, so review them before sending invoices or portal links.
